Figureout-ables

Happy Monday! Let’s talk about Figureout-ables today. I was introduced to this word by my dear friend and mentor, Linda Miller. Have you ever been in a situation where you have thought, “this is impossible, there is no solution to this problem”? When we get to this space, we only see walls and dead ends. “Even though the world is filled with infinite possibilities, we have limited access to them”, says Dr. Marilee Adams. That’s where figureout-ables come into play. Flip the impossible to a figureout-able.

Here’s a simple set of actions you can take:
1. Reframe the problem to a goal.
2. Articulate to yourself the benefits you wish to gain through this goal.
3. Figure out alternative options – your figureout-ables.
4. Choose which option(s) you wish to start working on.
5. Your choice of the option will help you identify and find the resources that will enable your figureout-able.

Find at least one dead end to convert to a figureout-able this week.
Happy Monday!
